Qlik completes acquisition of Talend
As organisations across all industry sectors are now looking to make business decisions based on data rather than gut instinct, Qlik has expanded its portfolio of enterprise data integration, quality and analytics capabilities.
To be led by Qlik CEO Mike Capone, the combined entity will provide enterprise customers across the world with an expanded data fabric solution that allows for endpoint data management across hybrid multi-cloud environments, as well as delivering application connectivity and API services.
Together, the companies will look to help large businesses overcome the challenge of data fragmentation, driven by thousands of sources and targets — leading to incomplete legacy solutions, cloud lock-in, or multiple disparate point solutions.
Following the acquisition, the Qlik platform — currently used by over 40,000 active customers in over 100 countries — will continue to operate for the benefits of any data source, architecture or methodology, in the aim of keeping data assets accessible wherever it resides.
