This privacy policy sets out how SearchDATA uses and protects any information that is given to us through our candidate and client service. When we refer to ‘we’ or ‘us’ we mean SearchDATA Limited, registered at 12 York Place, Leeds, LS1 2DS, company number 9072781.
SearchDATA are also registered members of the Information Commissioners Office under registration number ZA220503.
We are committed to ensuring your privacy is protected and understand the importance of GDPR. As a valued customer you can rest assured that your details will only be used in accordance of this statement. This policy is effective from 25/5/2018 and we will update you with any future changes to our Privacy Policy.
For the purpose of GDPR and the Data Protection Act of 2018, SearchDATA Group Limited is the Data Controller. If you choose to register with us, apply for a role or partner with us then we will also process data in line with our Privacy Policy.

Your Information
Candidates:
We may collect:
- Name, job title
- Contact information including your email address, contact number
- Demographic information such as postcode, salary, preferences, experience
- Other information relevant to helping you find job opportunities
This information allows us to provide an excellent level of service which can range from finding you relevant job opportunities, informing you of market movement, and also sharing your profile (without personal / contact information) to clients who may be interested in your skills and experience.
From time to time we may send promotional emails about our industry, or provide you with information about relevant positions that match your skillset. We may also provide you with editions of our industry publication; Inside Data.
Job Boards:
We will also receive your details and CV if you apply to any of our roles advertised on a variety of job boards. Please ensure you have read their individual Privacy Policies as they are part of ours.
Employers:
We may collect:
- Name, job title,
- Contact information including your email address, contact number
- Information about the company you work for (industry, contact information)
- Information relevant to providing you and your company with recruitment services
This information allows us to provide an excellent level of service which can range from informing you of specific skillsets that we believe will be of interest to you or informing you of market movement / industry relevant marketing information.
How your data is processed:
SearchDATA relies on the following legal basis to process your data:
Legitimate interest: To provide the services to our candidates and clients, either to fill a position, or provide you (candidate or employer) with products and services relevant to you and our market
Consent: If you submit your details via our website (apply or enquiry) your data will be processed on the legal basis of consent
Performance of contract: to process personal data in the performance of a contract between us and you. Should you register with us as a business or apply for a job, then a contract will be formed between us to use our services.
Digital Magazine:
We deliver a digital magazine to our database on a quarterly basis. We will collect analytics (clicks, pages read) to improve our service. If you do not wish to receive this magazine in the future, you can opt out by clicking the unsubscribe button in the footer of the email.
CRM Database:
SearchDATA have a cloud based CRM system which is owned / hosted by FCP Internet, part of the Dillistone Group PLC. Your information will be stored on our CRM database with a search function that means your data can be searched / accessed by any of our Recruitment Consultants at SearchDATA.

- To rectify / update information we have recorded
