This is a lead-generation sales role where you will mostly pursue and qualify warm and hot leads (with the occasional cold lead) to gain experience in the field.
Essentially, you will be responsible for discovering new business opportunities, by anticipating the needs and pain points the business and its vendors can tackle for potential clients, and you will open new doors across key accounts in partnership with the rest of the sales team, tech partners and marketing.

- Salary of up to £40k basic, depending on experience

Responsibilities as a Business Development Representative:
- Performing outbound identification and development of land and expand opportunities within assigned accounts
- Make outbound calls and email cadence to prospective customers
- Assess prospective client needs, determine value, and hand over to field sales resources for follow up and close
- Work to monthly targets
- Work closely with marketing to engage and follow up with highly engaged contacts
- Professionally articulate the value proposition of the business
- Professionally articulate benefits of key technology products
- Assist with marketing and sales planning activities
- Maintain and update the customer database
- Maintain customer and opportunity data in CRM system
- Manage a pipeline of early stage leads
- Build strong communities and engagement using digital and social channels
Experience and personal attributes required:
- Someone who is self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong will to succeed
- Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
- Some business-to-business sales experience
- Some sales experience within a tech environment – experience working in the data space would be advantageous but is not essential
- You should have an active interest in analytics and data integration technologies, as learning about the field will be essential to performing the role
- A hunger to learn new products, tools and methodologies, and the ability to adapt and learn about new technologies and skills quickly
- A naturally organized person with the determination to deliver excellent service and results
- Someone with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels
- A curious mindset, couple with a passion for creating solutions to fix real-world problems
- Someone who loves working and talking to people on the phone and via social media-based communication
