Senior Project Manager – Finance ERP Solutions – 2 Year FTC

If you answered yes to one or more of the above, then SearchDATA Group is currently looking to hire a Project Manager with experience of working on Financial ERP orientated projects for a well-known brand based in Bedford.

About You:

Ideally, to be successful for this you will have at least 5 years’ experience of working as an IT Project Manager delivering Finance ERP Solutions (ideally Oracle Fusion). The successful person must be financially literate with a strong knowledge of finance processes and experience of working with 3rd party systems integrators.

A professional Project or Programme Management qualifications certification would be highly advantageous

The breakdown of the role will be based around several key factors:


  • Organise and plan projects and programmes to ensure they are set up for a successful delivery
  • Ensure projects are appropriately planned in line with delivery models
  • Lead the project team of 20 – 30 to determine the deliverable outcomes of the project
  • Agree to and manage the scope and objectives of projects
  • Work closely with equivalent PM’s and stakeholders to ensure your projects fall in line with the wider Transformation roadmap


  • Provide regular financial reporting to Key Stakeholders and Heads of Department
  • Establish accurate project forecast estimates
  • Monitor and control resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders


  • Manage projects and small programmes end in a cross-functional environment
  • Work with project team members to identify and schedule project milestones
  • Ensure the team has the appropriate skills and experience throughout the project, encouraging knowledge transfer between members of the project team.

 Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with the business during the delivery stage of the project lifecycle
  • Organise and distribute work to 3rd party suppliers in line with requirements


  • Conduct regular reviews to provide honest feedback and support development
  • Ensure the Project Management function is focused on quality and provides specialist guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues
  • Create effective, informed & highly motivated teams focused on delivery liaising with other related projects & technical teams to ensure cross-team cooperation and coordination

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience of leading projects relating to the delivery of Finance ERP Solutions (ideally in Oracle Fusion)
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of shaping, leading, managing and successfully delivering complex projects and programmes in fast paced commercial environments
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC and different delivery approaches (Waterfall, Agile)
  • Working with vendors and outsource partners
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
